| “I could not ask for more of a rewarding career”. Nyla graduated from Texas Tech University in 1989 with a bachelor in advertising. She then took a few years to explore the U.S. and found her way to the OT field. Nyla then graduated from Colorado State University in 1998, with a degree in Occupational Therapy. Nyla has worked with children in a variety of settings, which include inpatient/outpatient hospital setting, neonatal intensive care, outpatient clinic, school system, and early childhood intervention. Her past work experience helps bring a broader perspective and greater understanding for the needs and goals of families in the home environment. Nyla works with children who have challenges with motor planning, sensory integration, dysgraphia, feeding difficulties, autism spectrum, neurological impairments, and developmental disabilities. Specialized training includes dysfunction of sensory integration, a sensory motor approach to feeding therapy, and certification in Level I , Therapeutic Listening. |
