| Kristy received a degree in Biology from Texas A&M in 1996 and then
went on to receive a degree in Occupational Therapy from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in 1998. She has worked almost exclusively in
pediatrics since then, first at an outpatient facility and then in a school setting. She recently worked for four years in Saipan, a tiny
island in the Pacific, where she became very experienced in working with individuals and families from many different cultural groups.
She has treated children with a variety of different diagnoses including autism/PDD, Down's Syndrome, cerebral palsy, sensory
integration dysfunction, Rett's Syndrome, traumatic brain injury, epilepsy/seizure disorder, learning disorders (dysgraphia, dyspraxia,
ADHD), developmental delays, and many others. She has received additional training in autism/PDD, assistive technology, and The
Listening Program. |
