Is a native Austinite who graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas in 1998. She received her Master of Science from Texas Woman's University School of Physical Therapy in December of 2000. Since completing her degrees, Kara has worked exclusively in pediatrics in a variety of settings, including hospital-based outpatient clinics, early childhood intervention, home-based services and aquatic physical therapy. In April 2006, she finished her pediatric Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) training with Judi Bierman, PT. Kara specializes in working with children who have minimal to severe neuromotor involvement, including those with Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, and Down Syndrome. She also has extensive experience with infants with torticollis, serial casting for tight heel cords, kinesiotaping, Theratogs, orthotic and wheelchair selection.
